Trailer: S-VHS (2013)

A new crew of directors including Jason Eisener,  Gareth Evans, Timo Tjahjanto, Edúardo Sanchez, Gregg Hale, Simon Barrett and Adam Wingard tackle the cinema-verite style anthology approach to horror established in V/H/S with its sequel, S-VHS. The trailer, which promotes its premiere at Sundance 2013, reveals some of the horrors to be found in this fascinating follow-up.

We’re talking about the directors behind not only the original V/H/S but films like The Raid: Redemption, Macabre, Hobo with a Shotgun, (the upcoming film) You’re Next and The Blair Witch Project. This is an incredible group of directors, a group that promises to produce a shocking collection of short found footage horror stories. This is exciting news and a great trailer.

From the trailer, S-VHS appears to contain some sort of Bigfoot story or a giant creature on the loose, a zombie story and a ghost story. There may be a hospital or surgery story mixed in there, hard to tell for sure. Regardless, the trailer looks incredible, grungy and frightening, especially with the final clip of something large knocking a moving automobile off the road shot from the inside dash. Check out the trailer below.
